Languishing in the Relegation zone and hanging at 18th position is not what the Kopites: (Pronounced ‘COP-AITES’, used to represent Liverpool Fans @ the Spion Kop at Anfield, now generally used to describe Liverpool FC fans) are used to, come on! – The appointment of Roy Hodgson from Fulham was a positive move in changing the fortunes of the club but it is apparent from the first seven games that the club needs more than that.

As the ESPN Correspondent for Liverpool FC, A Kevin Brodie indicated – The Liverpool Way is to stick with the Manager when things go tough and except for the ousting of Rafael “Rafa” Benitez this season, this has been the way Liverpool went on. Shankly and Paisley as both legendary Managers of Liverpool that brought back fantastic titles in their time had full support of the board, so why should Hodgson lose this support now?

The problem in Liverpool, lies with the current owners – A certain American named Tom Hicks and his partner George Gillette. By promising Liverpool FC (“LFC”) the building and completion of a new stadium @ Stanley Park, and also funds for investing in players and facilities, they generated great hopes in their acquisition of LFC in the near past, and subsequently angered fans and the board altogether when they failed to perform their end of the bargain and instead now wished to plunge LFC into a bigger financial void by attempting to sell the club way above valuation. How best to destroy a historical, emotional and greatly supported club as Liverpool than to dig a deep financial hole and let the club rot? I despise this move.

The slogan “Built by Shanks, Broke by Yanks” is hot as a new pancake off the oven and chanted by fans across the world before the beginning of every Liverpool game. A game is not a game anymore in this climate that LFC is in. Every game is a war to rid the current owners from exploiting LFC and draining more funds from the club. As an MBA student, it is a huge financial lesson for us to NEVER acquire assets using high debt as has happened to LFC with the ownership of the Americans. High leverage has kept debts high and although the club is showing profits from support by Kopites all over the world, things does not look good for LFC.

In comes NESV (New England Sports Ventures), another American firm, but with a much better track record and who is determined to make Liverpool succeed. It has turned the Boston Red Sox, an outfit so similar to Liverpool FC it is encouraging for most of the Kopites. The Red Sox has been in decline until NESV and its fortunes turned 180 degrees when it won the MLB title and now currently shares domination with the all-time champions, the New York Yankees.

Oh. My. God.

It has been like what, 2 weeks since I got my DSLR, Baby Black Aura? (11 days to be precise..)

And I’ve taken 1k photos.

1,000 ++ Photos!

And yes, there is a limit.. DSLR’s (the Medium levels ones – D90) usually have a shutter count limit, and this particular model the D90 has been tested for 100,000 shutters. And I’ve just used 1,000 – Big deal.

Well, it didn’t get me worried (I Hope), I have to say, Nikon IS quality. Or that’s what I thought la..

Hence, I was whacking my D90 on full AE Bracketing (3 shots for each picture..)

and making.. HDRIs!

H . D . R . I – High Dynamic Range Image (Imaging)

Thus, I dedicate this post to the HDRIs I took around my house, Bee’s house.. But unfortunately we didn’t take landscape photos at Genting to be processed with the HDR technique.

Well I have to say, descriptions are nothing without examples so here they are!

i) A Condo around my house.. Surrounded in mist.

ii) The ‘Toy-Shaped’ Houses around my house.. Very beautiful but not cheap.. -.-”

iii) The ‘Toy-Shaped’ houses, taken at night. ISO 200 to minimize noise.

iv) Another landscaped shot of the condo around my house area, with dense mist layers.

v) The ‘SunShine’ – I like this quite much ^_^

All in all, it was fun taking all those bracketed 3F – 2.0EV shots without shaking up the camera, and the final results do amaze me sometimes, but still I’m looking forward to taking more, and better photos! ^_^

*However the upload, compressed quality really kinda sucks.. -.-” Aihz.. INTERNET SLOW LARH!! If not I upload FULL uncompressed pics!

Yup yup! This is the Nikon D90 DSLR, pictured with attached F/1.8 50mm (Cheap lens but beautiful hahaha..)

The Kit Lens is a huge (relatively) 18-105mm VR Lens.. Not bad.. =D

As you can see through the lens, (pardon the reflection, was using the Nikon S620 10MP P’n'S for this shot as obviously the SLR is in the frame xD!)

Hey, you know, our renowned Malaysian blogger, Mr. Kenny Sia once said that DSLRs are too heavy, bulky, not-practical, and only suitable if you wanna take (insert picture type).. etc etc etc..

I have to say: “HE COULD BE RIGHT!”

Well I said COULD, because hor.. The camera, although big and bulk and what-shit.. Is a freaking good one.

Sure, RM4.5k for a camera could be outrageously a lot.. But then this is a D90 you’re talking about man!

12.3MP, ability to shoot 720p HD Videos, Ability to use AF on non-AF (Old) lenses, crap and alot of other features larh..

Of course, this D90, being the successor of the hugely successful D80, cannot be suckier! Hahaha!

Well I got it for about RM4500, at J-One in Amcorp Mall, a little bit pricey, but considering that DSLRs do need servicing I think its a good bargain for a peace of mind (after all I did literally ‘BLOW’ my savings on them..

Well then, here is a sample photo, taken with me new DSLR, an inauguration photo – and I shall name it…

Reason? – No reason, just that it sounds cool.. People don’t name their things nowadays anymore, do they? XD

But then if I had to have a reason, I guess it’s because the Nikon D-series are known as the ‘Dark Force’, so I tried something similar!

Anyways, here is a thumbnail for the picture taken by me DSLR.. A simple photo of my house’s lamps..

And since yesterday was quite a big day for me..

“Went to meet a client, ran a rehearsal, bought my DSLR, stuck in jam before my class..”

I decided its time to get a new pair of shoes.

So, here it is! My new pair of Adidas Superstar II – Taken with Black Aura, of course.

Notice the blurred edges? – Yup, it’s aperture at F/1.8.. Bokeh! (Just a fancy term for Gaussian Blur xD)

I am growing up now. I am entering the workforce and official Un-unemployed very soon. But I do miss studying and wanted so badly to complete my Masters.

Well,

I’m so glad to tell you that I will continue! Haha.. I’m so going to UPM now that I have (almost) secured a job that will give me satisfaction in what I do, and well, yeah it’s going to be tiring. But hey, the rewards are there. I’ll be faster ^^

I guess I’ll end this entry now, well if there is one thing to regret, that is that you cannot work for everyone because you only have 24 hours, and I’m issuing an unformal apology to those whom I rejected the offer. Well, I do enjoy the prospect of working for you guys, yeah. But I only have 24 hours, as like everyone do, so I’m looking for a Marketing based job and I hope I’ll get one soon. And thanks for the offers, I do hope that we have a chance to work together in the future somehow.
